Last of the Summer Rituals

We can’t believe it either, but the kids are already heading back to school and summer’s end is closing in.

Is it just us, or does this season seem to go by faster and faster every year?

Fear not, we still have a few weeks left before fall’s official calendar commencement, and luckily for us, this gorgeous Southern California weather lends to year-round, outdoor living; but we agree there are just some rituals and past times that are best celebrated during summer.

Whether it be a catching a drive-in movie with your sweetheart, roasting s’mores at a beach bonfire, berry-picking for a homemade potluck cobbler, or sharing a flamingo floatie with your favorite Grit front desk associate, we all have our traditions that make summer complete.

Here’s a compilation of our Grit Staff’s #bestsummerever rituals:

Front Desk Associate, Hailey, played supermodel on a boat and found her inner rockstar at the FYF Festival:

I completed a couple things off my summer list! One was a must do: a Duffy boat for my friends birthday. The second was seeing Nine Inch Nails with my boyfriend….and it was f@*%^#g incredible!

New mom and instructor Danielle doesn’t let late-night feedings derail her summer activity:

Our favorite thing to do is kick the summer off with a vacation in Mexico, go to Catalina as much as possible, and then, of course, beach it as often as possible.

Our Costa Mesa Instructor of the Month, Nicci Morris, wouldn’t think of finishing her summer without getting in a getaway with her two favorite girls:

Bucket list! Girls trip to Palm Springs before school starts! Swim all day and all night!

Instructor Chelsea has several must-do summer musts she likes to complete:

She likes to “eat lots of popsicles, make tie-dye shirts with my kids, and {have} BBQs on the beach.

Now we want to hear from you! What is still on your Summer Bucket List Gritties?

See you in the Saddle Room.
